Living in Beauty, Grace and Blessing
OJAS: Your vital essence.
Radiant energy, radiant life!
Ojas is the energy pool of our own pure vitality. It is built when the body is able to rest, absorb, and properly use what you take in. It is the foundation that supports stability, your vitality, and energy levels. It’s the foundation that allows us to flourish, and therefore very important to cultivate and maintain. Ojas is the nourishment we extract or 'life minerals'.
It manifests as our immunity and also provides us with stamina, stability, patience, peace, confidence and calm. Ojas is also the energy of protection. Physiologically speaking it manifests as our cerebrospinal fluid, protecting the brain and spinal nerves and also the myelin sheath around the nerves, protecting the nerve impulses. Because of this, Ojas becomes the key force that protects our Yoga practice, as the more Ojas we have, the more Prana (which moves through the nervous system) we can cultivate.
Ojas as patience, peace, stability, stamina and calm is the framework and foundation for success in Yoga, behind the scenes protecting our practice and ensuring we don’t burn out. As the ancient texts say we have to stabilize the Moon (Mind) before we rise up the Sun (Prana). This is skill in action and the recipe for a vital life.
This month is about restoring energy and sustaining it. Through restorative practice, the body is making space to bring in more prana and allow it to flow more freely. So we can revitalise and replenish the entire system.
More prana > free flowing nadis > more energy > inner radiance > outer life combined with a yogic worldview > meaning you will not want to waste your precious energy and know how to use it properly.
This is the formula for May!
THE WORLD IS BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE IT IS A MANIFESTATION OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL ONE.
This month moves beyond the practice into how you live.
How you eat, rest, move, and use your energy determines whether that energy is maintained or depleted. Your daily life becomes the place where Ojas is either strengthened or reduced.
This also includes your mind, your thoughts, and your worldview. When the way you see the world aligns with how you live, your system is supported. There is steadiness, clarity, and a sense of being grounded within yourself.
From this, your experience of life begins to change. When your system is supported, your perception shifts. Life is experienced as more full, more steady, more beautiful, more Divine.
This month, I want you to observe:
How are you using your energy each day?
Where are you restoring it, and where are you losing it?
Do your habits support how you want to feel?
Is the way you see the world aligned with how you are living?
Allow your actions, your habits, and your way of seeing to come into alignment. This is where Ojas is sustained. There is also a Yoga Nidra practice this month focused on worldview, where we consciously plant this intention into the mind and body so it can be carried into your daily life.
Thoughts To Live By
We have come down from God, and we must reascend to Him.
We have seemingly become separated from our Father, and we must consciously reunite with him.
Yoga teaches us how to rise above the delusion of separation and realise our oneness with God.
I am not the body, not the blood, not the energy, not the thoughts, not the mind, not the ego, not the astral self.
I am the immortal soul that illumines them all, remaining unchangeable in spite of their changes.
— Paramahansa Yogananda
Cultivating Unwavering Devotion
A restorative practice to clear stagnation and support the flow of prana and vyana through the body. As energy begins to circulate and distribute evenly, the system becomes more balanced and able to hold that energy. This is what allows Ojas to build and be sustained.
Practice everyday throughout the month. Use the sadhana checklist as your guide.
Supporting Practice
Lakshmi Puja
This Yoga Nidra is a worldview practice. As the body rests, the mind becomes receptive, and we begin to work with perception at a deeper level. The affirmation “the world is beautiful because it’s a manifestation of the most beautiful One” is seeded into the subconscious, allowing it to settle beyond the surface of the mind. Over time, this begins to shape how you see, feel, and experience life, so that your inner state and outer experience move together. (the inner leads, the outer follows)

Your Monthly Oracle Message
The Authenticity card represents living in alignment with your true self. It calls you to embrace your uniqueness, honor your values, and act with integrity in all that you do. Authenticity is about self-acceptance and standing confidently in who you are without fear of judgment. When you embody authenticity, you radiate a magnetic truth that inspires others to do the same.
Reflective Practice:
In what areas of your life are you not fully expressing your true self? What would it feel like to embrace your authenticity without fear or hesitation?
Practical Exercise:
Take a few moments to sit quietly and reflect on your values and passions. Write down three things that genuinely make you feel like your truest self. Then, choose one small action you can take today to honor that part of yourself—whether it’s through words, choices, or how you show up in the world. Let this practice serve as a step toward living in alignment with your authentic self.
A playlist to carry the essence of Śrī into your day. Intended for moments outside of practice, to accompany journaling or any space where you feel inspired (not during your main practice).
You're invited to reach out anytime throughout the month with questions or reflections related to your practice. I'm here to support you on your journey toward inner radiance and growth.
