Sama Vritta (Equal Breathing) is a basic pranayama technique which can be done anywhere, at any time to reduce stress and anxiety. In Sanskrit Sama = equal and Vritti = mental fluctuations. The aim of this breathing technique is to reduce mental clutter and distraction, and bring equilibrium to the mind. Equal breathing has amazing benefits such as: reducing stress and anxiety, balancing the nervous system, cultivate a calm yet vibrant mind, slow down heart rate, improve breathing ability, encouraging the ability to be able to feel more rested and relaxed.
